Why we exist

I built this because I kept seeing the same problem.

Before The Dutch Guests, I spent a lot of time talking to hotel managers and travel organisations. Different countries, different sizes of business, same story every time.

Hotel managers are drowning in outreach that had nothing to do with them. Emails from operators who'd clearly never checked whether their guests matched the property.

Resulting in directory listings that put a boutique villa next to a budget hostel, because nobody had actually looked at who belonged next to who. Every manager I spoke to had a version of the same complaint: "I get contacted constantly, and almost none of it is relevant."

On the other side, travel organisations were doing the opposite kind of work, and just as much of it. Building spreadsheets by hand. Scrolling listing sites hoping something looked right.

Sending outreach to properties that never replied, because the property had no idea why they were even being contacted. Weeks's spent sourcing, for a handful of partnerships.

What struck me was that both sides wanted exactly the same thing. A hotel wants tour operators who bring the right kind of guest. A travel organisation wants properties that fit the trip they're actually selling.

That's the gap I built The Dutch Guests to close. Not another directory to scroll through, and not a booking engine. A place where you tell us who you are, we do the searching, and you only ever see the matches that were worth finding in the first place.

What I've built this on

What I noticed, and what I built instead.

"I don't have time to vet a hundred leads."

So we score the fit before you ever see a name. You only look at matches worth your time.

"I never know who's behind a listing."

So nothing is shared until both sides agree. No names, no guesswork, until you both say yes.

"Everything feels mass-market."

So we kept this deliberately small and considered. Every match is meant to be worth making.

"I only trust partners I understand."

So every match comes with a reason. You'll always know why you were introduced.

Where we're headed

The same idea, wherever we go.

We started in the Netherlands, working with Dutch travel organisations first, because that's the market I know best. Europe is next. But the idea stays the same wherever we go: fewer, better matches, made because they actually fit.
